This is a job in Finchley where water staining was noticed on the wood floor.

The owner made an insurance claim and under Trace and Access we were asked to remove the kitchen and granite worktops. We also removed the wood floor so as to see what was causing the problem.

In this case it was found that moisture was coming up through the screed and through the solid brickwork as the DPC had broken down.

The client had to pay for the repairs to the internal render and also for a chemical DPM.

Once these works were completed we provided a new engineered wood tongue and groove floor.

The kitchen and granite we reinstated.
